Job Purpose/Summary:

  • To provide excellence in the marketing, sales, customer care strategies and ensure satisfaction on all other commercial operational activities.
  • To develop, implement, monitor and advise on the marketing & sales plans for all division units under the SMTHC.
  • Leads and decides on all major products and market based initiatives and is responsible for the overall customer management of the company.


  • Plan, develop and manage the commercial departments and work as a member of the Strategic Management Team, where he/she has the chief responsibility for the commercial side of the Company.
  • Set short and long-term marketing- and business strategies.
  • Implement annual Marketing & Sales Plan (incl. Pricing Concept).
  • Provide a medium- and long-term Product and Service Strategy in order to guide the development of innovative communications solutions, attractive packages, products and services for various customer segments.
  • Definition and implementation of processes in line with the Company's business processes.
  • Determination of an Innovation-, Product- and Portfolio Management Formula.
  • Provision of Sales Strategy/ Goals and the resulting Distribution Network Strategy (direct and indirect sales channels) plus the individual channel design, retail- and sales plans/ targets.
  • Define and implement a CSR policy which services our customers with the highest standards possible.
  • Contribution to a customer-centric corporate culture which supports the stretching goals and fosters effective inter-cultural co-operation.
  • Define and implement a Sales policy which services our customers with the highest possible results.
  • Alignment of the Organizational Design of the Sales, Marketing & Customer Care Departments to the Corporate Strategy, including the responsibility for staffing and staff development of departments.
  • Repackaging of our services to support the centralized concept.
  • Manage an efficient calling center service for directory services and customer service support.
  • Set strategic policy, rules and regulations, agreements and approved guidelines for timely execution of the duties.
  • Take preventive and corrective measures to ensure an efficient & accurate commercial division.
  • Periodic product performance reports (dash board) and eventual remarks and solutions.
  • Negotiations and finalizing commercial contracts
  • The tasks, authorities and responsibilities pertaining to this job are not limited to the ones mentioned above.

Kennis en vaardigheden

Education Required:

  • Education on University level with a degree in marketing & sales

Experience Required:

  • Minimal 6 years’ experience on Strategic Commercial Management level including marketing & sales, product development and customer services.
  • Minimal 3 years’ experience in a similar position (as commercial director) in the Telecommunications Industry.
  • Experienced with Telecommunications operations, products and services. 


  • Very strong business sense and execution power
  • Strong leadership, negotiating and analytical skills
  • Basic financial knowledge such as P&L, Forecasting, CAPEX etc.
  • Experience in leading a team to achieve “best practice” in commercial processes and systems
