Summary of position:

The Finance Manager directs the financial affairs of the company and is responsible for the financial plans and policies (in collaboration with the General Manager), it’s accounting practices, the conduct of the maintenance of its fiscal records, and the preparation of financial reports. The position involves supervision over general accounting, internal auditing, cost accounting, and budgetary controls. The Finance Manager uses his or her expertise and knowledge of the foregoing to assist the General Manager in the operations and business management of the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervises accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash deposits, petty cash transactions, cashier  deposits, and proper internal controls for cash handling and deposits.
  • Prepares all financial reports produced by the company, to include: Daily Revenue and Sales Report, Daily Cash Report, Monthly Profit and Loss Statement, Aged Accounts Receivable Report, and Balance Sheet.
  • Reviews and analyzes Monthly Profit and Loss Statement.
  • Processes payroll in collaboration with HR team.
  • Monitors purchasing to include processing of all purchase orders and requisitions for posting to  proper department as expenses.
  • Establishes sound and efficient accounting policies and procedures to facilitate, monitor, protect and control the assets of the company.
  • Interprets, implements, and reviews accounting policy and procedures.
  • In conjunction with department heads, develops and consolidates annual operating budget.
  •   Ensures periodic audits of all staff change banks.
  • Analyzes records to determine adherence to established controls and procedures. Works  with accounting staff and department heads to maintain proper financial controls.
  •  Ensures correct posting of entries to applicable accounts.
  • Ensures proper pricing and expensing of daily invoices.
  • Establishes and maintains open purchase orders and contracts for maintenance and services with resort vendors and suppliers.
  • Establishes and maintains a complete and systematic set of financial records.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Kennis en vaardigheden

  • Relevant degree or certification in Finance and/or Accounting
  • 5 - 7 years of progressive experience in a related field within Finance and/or Logistics
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of supervisory or management experience
  • Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.

 Skills:

  • Ability to understand the company needs and issues (business goal-orientated).
  • Open-minded and trustful.
