The Corporate Communications Officer provides support to the Corporate Communications Coordinator, as it relates to the creation, implementation and measurement of all branding and corporate communications programmes.


  • Assist the Corporate Communications Coordinator with the development of strategic communications plans that support the overall strategic direction of Guardian Group, as well as assist with the customization of communication plans for maximum effectiveness in the local market and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Support with the execution and application of strategic communications plans.
  • Support with the development, design and implementation of strategic digital communications plans.
  • Monitor and regularly audit all digital communications platforms to ensure that content is in line with set policies.
  • Develop and prepare reports on a monthly basis, using analytics and other feedback mechanisms, to direct measurement of communications efforts.
  • Assist with the management and preparation of Advertising, Digital, PR, Events and CSR budgets.
  • Coordinate and monitor national, regional & international news for evolving trends, opinions in the marketplace and inform the Corporate Communications Officer accordingly.
  • Liaise with media within the press and publicity community, when required. Ensure that media lists are updated regularly with relevant contact details.
  • Work with Agency on Advertising, Digital, PR Events and CSR campaigns.
  •  Support with the planning of press events at a within the territory.
  •  Work with the Corporate Communications Coordinator to design and implement strategic internal communications initiatives.
  • Assist with the development of an effective CSR Programme, as well as the establishment of charity partnership programmes with key business contacts.
  • To perform any other job-related duties as assigned by the Manager.                                                                                               


Kennis en vaardigheden

Performance Standards:

  • Monitor and provide continuous feedback on the Brand.
  • Maintain social medial platform.
  • Complete monthly analytics report.
  • Ensure website has always updated content , providing recommendations where necessary.
  • Execute all strategic brand and communications initiatives.
  • Support all stakeholder communication activities.
  • Keep abreast of best practice and trends in Corporate Communications in order to make informed recommendations.
  • Inform decision making within Brand and Corporate Communications and assist with continuous improvement.


  • HBO Communication degree (bachelor).
  • First Degree in Marketing, Communication or a related field from a recognized tertiary level educational institution.


  • 3 - 5 years’ experience in Marketing and/ or Communications.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a digital communications (equivalent) role.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. Must have a good command of English and Dutch.
  • Strong media relations, outreach and communication expertise and experience.
