Omschrijving

Job purpose:

Responsible for realizing the result of organizational unit processes, managing people and stimulating talent(management), developing and ensuring implementation of policies and (best) practices for the assigned team(s)/department and contributing to the development of strategy, in line with guidelines, (business)plans and strategic priorities, in order to ensure the realization of (strategic) objectives of the assigned
unit.

Accountabilities:

1. Strategy and policy

  • (Co)Develop policies and objectives for the assigned team/department and contribute to the development of strategy.

2. Business plan / budget

  • Develop and/or coordinate the development of the business plan/budget for the assigned team/department, acquire approval, ensure and manage execution and deliver results.

3. Realization and implementation

  • Direct and drive the realization and implementation of planned results/policies and of team/departmental contributions to cross-sector projects, monitor and decide on allocation of budget.

4. Instruments, guidelines and procedures

  • Specify, (co)develop and maintain instruments, policies, procedures and guidelines within the own functional area, to be used by  employees.

5. Advice

  • Issue advice at request or at own initiative to management and employees as well and ensure the implementation / follow up.

6. Projects

  • Serve as the business owner / sponsor for cross-department and cross-functional projects as well as ensure execution and delivery.

7. Optimization

  • Continuously evaluate organizational design, (work)processes and systems and initiate and implement changes and improvements.

8. People management and development

  • Attract, lead, coach, appraise and develop employees, ensure staffing, workforce planning and stimulatetalent(management).

9. Knowledge and information management

  • Keep up with internal and external developments and ensure development, transfer and retention of knowledge and information.

10. Management information

  • Provide insights regarding quantitative and qualitative team/department developments by means of periodicaland ad hoc reports and/or analyses.

11. Relationship management

  • Build and maintain a network of in- and external stakeholders/partners.
  • Innovation and business development (optional).
  • Proactively signal and act upon commercial opportunities for rhe organisation, support new business development, the development and alignment of concepts and hought leadership initiatives, with a strong outward focus (conversation with clients) and demand for creativity.

Kennis en vaardigheden

  •  Academic level of thinking in either Law, Commerce, Finance Accounting, Economics or relevant.
  • > 8 years of relevant experience in Risk Management/Audit or Compliance role.
  • In depth knowledge or compliance and risk management methodologies.
  • Is able to manage a complex organizational environment (internally and/or externally) and knows how and when to influence.
  • Flexibility and eagerness to learn.
  • Rigor and critical skepticism.
  • Sense of responsibility and autonomy.
  • Team player with good communication skills  in Dutch and English (both oral and written).
