This initiative is a top strategic priority for the CEO and Board of Directors, and it will raise the competitive profile of the companies’ business, allowing to optimize current business model while introducing market leading solutions and client experiences, improving speed-to-market, increase productivity, improves overall quality and customer-centricity.

The CTO will design, develop, and enable the execution of the target state operating processes and technology operating model across all jurisdictions for all products and services across the companies’ Insurances. This role reports to the CEO and is expected to frequently interact with the Board of Directors during the transition period.

The office of the CTO drives the overall pace of change, assessing progress against clearly laid plans, and identifying interdependencies between programs and implications for our operating model.

This role will drive shorter-term special projects and initiatives focused on enabling the business now, and longer-term transformation initiatives underway, enabling the continuous evolution into the future.

This highly visible C-suite role supports the companies’ leadership to enable the design of a best-in-class product architecture and operating model strategy, as well as enabling implementation of initiatives from early pilots to scaling the transformation across the organization in collaboration with a diverse set of stakeholders.

We are seeking a talented and seasoned senior insurance executive to lead teams to drive transformation initiatives that are core to the business. The position represents an excellent opportunity for qualified candidates to be part of the companies’ leadership team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Effectively guide the organization through change, owning the narrative to resonate with the broader organization;
  • Exhibit and build organizational capability in horizontal adaptation, change and transformation across the enterprise;
  • Provide thought leadership and best practices on how strategic initiatives should be sequenced/ staged to facilitate successful program delivery and change management;
  • Monitor the progress, health, and sustainability of the transformation strategy;
  • Promote business-led change with clear scoping, connectivity, and deep Project Management expertise for the portfolio of top Enterprise priorities;
  • Lead cross-workstream sessions to weigh opportunities/risks and define and manage a robust transformation roadmap that meets corporate strategic objectives, and results;
  • Lead communications, and brand strategy/design and execution for the change programs across all levels and all modalities (e.g., email, townhall, newsletter, intranet, podcasts);
  • Orchestrate with Human Resources change management activities & impact assessments for key initiatives at scale
  • Partner with key stakeholders to define a consistent change readiness and change management model; develop a playbook to support roll-out of the program at scale;
  • Establish and maintain transformation program governance with key stakeholders (Boards, Executive Leadership Councils, SteerCos, GRC);
  • Own executive level presentations and business reviews, including driving strategic agenda content and clarity of messages for executive consumption;
  • Build a deep understanding of each area of the business to drive short-term improvement and long-term value; recognize opportunities to drive process improvements and instill data driven mentality across teams;
  • Provide coaching opportunities while holding leaders accountable to drive change; drive ideation and design through collaboration and co-creation.

Kennis en vaardigheden

  • 15+ years in Transformation and Operations leadership roles, leading significant, effective and sustainable change programs, efficient operating models and agile technology solutions/ecosystems for large complex organizations.
  • Specific subject matter expertise regarding transformation and program management disciplines and a strong business. understanding of the insurance industry and all related consumer and commercial products and services.
  • Articulate and effective communicator, both orally and in writing
  • Strong interpersonal skills, effective working across different countries and cultures with evidence of working in collaboration across large, complex organizations, including effective influencing skills, a proactive and \'no surprises\' approach in communicating issues/requests.
  • A structured approach to solving complex business problems.
  • An enthusiastic “roll up your sleeves” mentality.
  • A high threshold for navigating ambiguity and building effective and scalable solutions.
