Omschrijving

Purpose:
To initiate, implement and manage human resources policies and systems ensuring effective policy integration with other core functions for optimum realization of operational and strategic objectives.

Main duties and responsibilities:
The Human Resources ensures that all human resources operations are carried out smoothly and effectively. The Human Resources Manager is responsible for developing HR strategies and providing sound and comprehensive advice to senior management on all related subjects. The Goal is to ensure that all HR needs of the company are being met and realigned with all business objectives.

  • Manages the Human Resources Department within the framework of statutory regulations and the Corporate Governance Code.
  • Develop plans for a variety of Human Resource matters such as compensation, benefits, health and safety etc.;
  • Act to support the human factor in the company by devising strategies for performance evaluation, coordinates job recruitment, manpower planning, training and development etc.;
  • Oversee all HR initiatives, systems and tactics;
  • Consult with the other members of the Central Management Team on strategic planning;
  • and serve as a link between the organization's management and its employees;
  • Supervise the work of HR personnel and provide guidance;
  • Maintains the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions;
  • Prepares employees for assignments by establishing and conducting orientation and training programs;
  • Serve as the point of contact for employment relations and communicate with labor unions;
  • Initiates to the development of the strategic plans in the area of Human Resources Management;
  • Manages the financial aspects of the function including cost management and the responsibility for maintaining expenditures within budget;
  • Provides input for the annual planning of priority areas, objectives and budget provisions based on the strategic plan;
  • Monitor adherence to internal policies, legal standards and performance evaluations/ appraisals;
  • Deal with grievances and violations by taking disciplinary action against employees when required;
  • Anticipate and resolve litigation risks;
  • Compile analyze and submit analyses reports and graphs to the management team and the supervisory board;
  • Contributes to the development of the strategic plans in the area of Human Resources Management;
  • Ensure compliance with the law and the organization’s policies
  • Gives directives to staff with personnel related duties.

 

Kennis en vaardigheden

  • Thinking/working level: HBO/Academic
  • Formal education: Personnel Management
  • Supplementary training: HR related management training
  • Experience: 8 years in human resources of which 3 years in management function, preferably in key industrial relations and/or organization development position

Specific knowledge and skills:

  • Regulatory knowledge on education
  • Knowledge on the principles of corporate governance
  • Good communication and reporting skills
  • Excellent oral and written command of English and Dutch
  • Good computer skills
  • Proactive identification and development of solutions for nonproductive situations with regard to employee relations and performance
  • Ability to act with tact in troublesome situations
  • Must possess above average social and influencing skills
