We are currently seeking a talented and driven Business Development Manager to join their team and play a key role in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.

Position Overview:

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving the growth of the food and beverage business through the identification, evaluation, and pursuit of new business opportunities. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of the industry, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of success in business development and sales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and potential business opportunities within the food and beverage industry.
  • Business Strategy: Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve growth objectives, including market expansion, product diversification, and revenue generation.
  • Lead Generation: Identify and qualify leads for new business opportunities, including new customers, partnerships, and distribution channels.
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, distributors, and industry partners, to drive collaboration and business development efforts.
  • Sales Negotiation: Lead negotiations with potential clients, partners, and vendors to secure new business agreements and partnerships.
  • Proposal Development: Prepare and present compelling proposals and presentations tailored to the needs of prospective clients, outlining the value proposition and benefits of partnering with [Company Name].
  • Project Management: Coordinate cross-functional teams to execute business development initiatives effectively, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and timelines.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor and evaluate the performance of business development activities, tracking key metrics and KPIs to measure progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics, providing insights and recommendations to senior management to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies in all business development activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 5 years of experience in business development and at least 10 years Sales experience, preferably within the food and beverage industry.
  • Proven track record of success in driving business growth and achieving sales targets.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate market insights into actionable business strategies.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
  • You are a Dutch or US passport holder.
