Country Manager Retail

Our client is a well-known Retail company in Sint Maarten with stores in the airport, port, Philipsburg and hotels (10 in total). It is brand that has been around on the island for more than 40 years.

We are looking for a highly motivated and results-driven Retail Business Manager for the position of Country Manager.

You will lead the retail operations and drive growth in the stores. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the retail business, high-level management of day-to-day operations to long-term strategic planning. Your primary goal will be to ensure the success and profitability of the retail outlets while maintaining a high standard of customer service and employee satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

Leadership and Team Management:

• Supervise and guide the director of operations, retail store managers, providing direction, support, and coaching to achieve performance objectives.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging teamwork and employee development.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and implement strategies for staff improvement.

Retail Operations:

• Together with the director of operations, develop and implement operational procedures and policies to enhance efficiency and productivity in all retail locations.
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and take appropriate actions.
• Ensure consistent compliance with company standards, including visual merchandising, inventory management, and customer service protocols.

Sales and Business Development:

• Formulate and execute sales strategies to drive revenue and achieve sales targets.
• Identify market trends and competitor activities to adapt retail strategies and capitalize on opportunities.
• Explore new business opportunities and partnerships to expand the retail presence and brand reach.

Financial Management:

• Prepare and manage retail budgets, closely monitoring expenses and revenue to ensure financial targets are met.
• Analyze sales data, inventory levels, and financial reports to make informed decisions and optimize profitability.

Customer Experience:

• Uphold a superior customer experience by ensuring that our stores deliver excellent service and meet customer needs.
• Address customer complaints and feedback promptly to enhance satisfaction and loyalty.

Inventory Control:

• Together with the director of operations, oversee inventory management processes, including stock levels, ordering, and stock rotations.
• Implement strategies to minimize stock losses due to theft, damage, or expiration.

Compliance and Safety:

• Ensure compliance with all legal and safety regulations in the retail environment.
• Maintain a safe and secure shopping environment for both customers and employees.
