The Store Manager is responsible for the overall planning, organization, and supervision of all work activities to be carried out at the store. He/she is responsible for the efficient performance of the branch with the aim of realizing the budget and the agreed policy and business objectives.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The commercial, operational and logistical implementation of all activities to achieve the business objectives.
  • Organizes efficient and effective business processes and supervises the execution of these business processes in line with the guidelines and process descriptions in the manuals and corporate manual and provides advice on this.
  • Responsible for further development of online ordering and drive thru sales.
  • Sets the store budget each year; the budget consists of turnover, margins, operating costs and investment budget. The Store Manager also continuously monitors the approved budget and takes timely measures and reports on those in the event of negative budgetary deviations.
  • The Store Manager is responsible for realizing the established store budget, with regards to the turnover, margins, and operating costs.
  • Periodically review and adjust the sales policy and the available assortment. By keeping an eye open to follow new developments on the market and, based on that, initiate proposals and/or expand sales and goods activities, and take action towards the entire purchasing department (inventory management and category managers) and operations manager.



Kennis en vaardigheden

  • An Associate degree in Business Management, Supply Management or Construction related field.
  • At least 15+ years’ experience in managing B2B and B2C retail operations.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing large teams as well as developing, training and coaching direct reports.
  • Strong background in customer and service delivery.
  • Verifiable affinity with building/construction material and/or hardware retail industry.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office/ Office 365 applications.
  • Team player who knows how to communicate effectively at and with all levels/positions.
  • Hands-on approach with the ability to work independently with speed and accuracy to achieve required results.
  • Ability and willingness to work flexible hours.
