General Description of Position:

Provide vision, leadership and direction to the Marketing Department. In this position you are responsible for all aspects of the marketing in St. Maarten and neighboring islands. Including, but not limited to, the supervision of marketing personnel and support of marketing functions, inventory analysis and planning, administration of the marketing budget and the achievement of target sales for each category of products in your region.

Key Challenges & Outcomes:

  • Managing all marketing for the company and activities within the marketing department.
  • Developing the marketing strategy for the company in line with company objectives.
  • Coordinating marketing campaigns with sales activities.
  • Overseeing the company’s marketing budget.
  • Creation and publication of all marketing material in line with marketing plans.
  • Planning and implementing promotional campaigns.
  • Manage and improve lead generation campaigns, measuring results.
  • Overall responsibility for brand management and corporate identity
  • Preparing online and print marketing campaigns.
  • Monitor and report on effectiveness of marketing communications.
  • Creating a wide range of different marketing materials.
  • Working closely with design agencies and assisting with new product launches.
  • Maintain effective internal communications to ensure that all relevant company functions are kept informed of marketing objectives.
  • Analyzing potential strategic partner relationships for company marketing.
  • Maintain marketing budget balanced.

Function details:

  • Development and implementation of the Brand strategy.
  • Developing the marketing strategy for new and existing products
  • Overseeing implementation of the Marketing strategy - including campaigns, events, digital marketing, and PR. Working closely with the company’s sales team; enabling them to meet their commercial objectives by providing them with appropriate tools, materials and presentations
  • Guiding the day to day activities of the marketing team.
  • Ensuring that the marketing objectives are implemented by the marketing team.
  • Work closely with product management team to define marketing materials and programs.
  • Manage social media presence and direct programs to improve social media reputation and recognition.
  • Developing and delivering marketing and communications strategies for the organization.
  • Undertake continuous analysis of competitive environment and consumer trends.






Kennis en vaardigheden

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a marketing and/or sales manager in the (international) Hospitality business. Horeca marketing/ sales experience is considered desirable;
  • Bachelor or Master degree in marketing management and/or business management;
  • Good leadership and managerial qualities;
  • Good verbal and written communication skills;
  • Tough negotiator and problem-shooter;
  • Field-oriented and willing enough to undertake some travel;
  • Is systematic and well organized;
  • Is pro-active, pragmatic in his/her approach, flexible and “hands-on”;
  • Is focused and determined to succeed;
  • Dynamic and forward thinker;
  • High personal integrity;
  • Fluent in English and Dutch, Spanish is desired.
