About the role:

We are seeking a Creative Head Gardener to lead and further develop the lush tropical gardens that define our client’s resort experience.

In this role, you combine hands-on expertise with creativity and leadership, working closely with management to elevate our landscape to the next level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement creative landscaping concepts.
  • Maintain and continuously improve all garden areas to high standards.
  • Lead, train, and manage a team of approximately 10 gardeners.
  • Plan daily operations, schedules, and quality control.
  • Collaborate with management on garden vision and improvements.
  • Oversee plant selection, procurement, and resource management.
  • Ensure sustainability, safety, and efficient use of materials.

Kennis en vaardigheden

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in gardening/landscaping.
  • Proven leadership experience (preferably in Hospitality or resorts).
  • Creative mindset with strong aesthetic sense.
  • Fluency in English and Dutch (required). Papiamentu and/or Spanish is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of tropical plants, irrigation, and sustainable practices.
  • Hands-on, proactive attitude.
