A leading resort in Curaçao is looking for an ambitious, hands-on HR Director to shape and lead the resort’s people agenda into its next phase. As a member of the Executive Board, you don’t just set HR strategy, you bring it to life, ensuring that every aspect of the resort’s growth is supported by a strong, motivated, and talented team.
In this pivotal role, you combine strategic thinking with operational leadership. You lead the HR department, oversee daily HR operations, and implement initiatives that enhance talent acquisition, employee engagement, retention and leadership development. You ensure the resort is not only prepared for growth but also stands out as an employer of choice.
You act as an advisor to the management team, translating business objectives into practical HR strategies. With your vision and forward-thinking approach, you anticipate workforce needs and foster initiatives that strengthen the capabilities of all teams across the resort.

The position:
- Develop and implement strategies aligned with the resort’s mission, vision, and growth.
- Lead and manage the HR team, driving effective performance, professional development, and operational excellence.
- Drive recruitment, retention, and employer branding initiatives to position the resort as an employer of choice.
- Oversee HR operations including recruitment, onboarding, payroll, benefits, performance management, and employee relations, ensuring compliance with labor laws and internal policies.
- Serving as a member of the Executive Board, contributing to strategic decision-making and long-term organizational growth.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven ability to combine strategic leadership with hands-on HR management.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and influencing skills. You are able to inspire and motivate teams at all levels.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative and energetic approach.
- Fluency in English and Dutch. Papiamentu and Spanish are a plus.
